How To Not Be a Luke Warm Christian

"I know your works: you are neither cold nor hot. Would that you were either cold or hot! So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth." - Revelation 3:15-16

I'm sure that a lot of people have a different opinion on what being a lukewarm Christian means. What can't be argued, however, is how God feels about lukewarm people. Revelation says that He spits us out of His mouth when we are lukewarm.

There are many ways Christians stay luke warm. Whether it's by looking down on other "Christians" who aren't as good or by trying to bring down Christians who they know are actually doing the work of Christ.

Both of these are terrible things to do, because you're either judging others in a hypocritical way (which the Bible speaks against multiple times) or you are trying to hinder the work of the Lord!

So here are some steps that should help regain your fire for Christ.

Step 1: Daily Bible Reading

You must be in your Bible daily if you want to be on fire for Christ. You can't expect to have a thriving relationship if you never talk to the person. Likewise how can you expect to have a thriving relationship with Christ if you're never in His word. The Bible and the Holy Spirit is how God talks to us.

Step 2: Pray Often

Going back to the first point, you must have communication for a thriving relationship. Prayer is how you talk to God. How are you going to get prayers answered if you don't pray? It's simple! You can't!! If you want a thriving relationship with Christ then you must talk to Him as often as possible. The more you pray the easier it will get.

Step 3: Listen to Sermons or Podcasts in Your Free Time

Pick out one of your favorite preachers or podcasters and listen to them whenever you get the chance. This will be like continually putting gasoline on the fire and will help your flame for Christ explode.

Step 4: Worship Him

This is what worship songs were made for and to truly get the full effect you must pay attention to the words. Your favorite worship songs will mean so much more to you once you start paying attention to the words.
